Vienna – a hotel review
A business trip had to be organized be me and the hotel “Flemings Deluxe Hotel” for the meeting was a recommendation by colleagues who had been there several month before. I checked out Tripadvisor – as I always do – and figured out it was worth to send an inquiry. They made the offer and I booked. The opportunity already to fly to Vienna one day on a Sunday sound good to me and I decided to take the opportunity to fly on Saturday to have time for sightseeing.
The hotel is situated in the 8. “Bezirk” – just some meters away from the parliament and the town hall – and in walking distance to everything in the city center. The Flemings is housed in on of the old buildings and accommodates Superior Rooms, Executive Rooms and Suites.
I had the Superior room which was not very big but with an interesting arrangement of the interior. The shower was open in the room as well as the sink. An open wall divided these facilities from the bed. The view to the small courtyard was not perfect but this makes the room very quite.
The included breakfast served until 11:30am during the weekends and 10:30am on week days offers fresh fruits, eggs (boiled, scrambled, omlett), different kinds of bread, sausage, different kinds of cheese, salmon and everything you need to get ready for a perfect and long sightseeing day.
The hotel also offers very spacious conferencing rooms with daily either standard or deluxe conference packages. Both offering a three course lunch – a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian dish – or buffet. We had the three course menu and there was no reason to complain about the food which was served by a very attentive waitress.
For a private stay I can recommend to compare prices on Trivago or other websites. I got an official offer from the hotel for the additional night about 105EUR including breakfast but my price comparison let me book for 80EUR per night.
